Chances are, you’ve already made an assumption about the nature of this post. This is not a post telling you to date an African man over an African-American man. It is about giving our motherland brothers a chance.
For some, the idea of dating an African man conjures up a lot of myths and fears like the image of the over-controlling man.
He works two jobs....that's to the person who mentioned I would pay for it.
since that is your choice and his choice you got nothing to fear, but the other fact is that,he hasnt taken you to see his parents, hmmm that signals troubles but dont lack faith, just lock up tight and do your best neesha holy this is weird, it is dead drop it is your choice and you live your life any how you want it.
We have only been together for 2 1/2 years and most of those years are separated by a big distance of 5 states between us.
He is pushing marriage but im not committing until we have been living together for at least a 6 months (anyone can fake like a good, loyal person months at a time). I have to admit that i fell victim to the stereotype about nigerian men when i first started dating him.
/ Igbo-Nigerian Men Are The Most Handsome Men In Africa! Also it makes me wary when he is on the phone and he only speaks yoruba, but im learning the language and i ask him to speak english when he is around me.
Since you are foreign, you most likely met him in your home country or a country foreign country to him. Your Nigerian Man loves Soccer (fyi: we call it football)- I am yet to find a Nigerian man who doesn’t love soccer.
If you want him to put a ring on it quicker, learn to cook his ethnic food and see what he will do.
Most Nigerian men in foreign countries are learning or already know how to cook their ethnic food but you will impress him more if you learn to cook it or show some an interest.
by Neesha (Baltimore MD) He hasn't introduced me to his family after 2 yrs dating. I am doing everything I can think of to let him know I love him and will always be there. Nigerians are workingand that gives me joy and it really strengthen me to wish to do more than this, I thought most Nigerians abroad go through hell to find a decent job, well maybe I should leave that to another thread The truth is, am dating a white girl aged 26 and our relationship is working fine and we had hope to get married soon Thanks for the responses, the good and the bad ones.
I have been learning how to make Nigerian meals and desserts. He is working, actually very hard working at two jobs. It's difficult understanding his thoughts at times because I am used to dealing with American men. Interesting story, how did that really happened , well love might have made them loved each other, but is the love pure, because there are previous stories about a man who married a white woman but was killed after five month of good luck This is great,it is one of the best news ever.
