Several different words are used to describe teen dating violence. Dating violence is widespread with serious long-term and short-term effects. Unhealthy, abusive, or violent relationships can have severe consequences and short- and long-term negative effects on a developing teen.
Teens are told how to get help for themselves, and how to help a friend who is being abused.
While girls are by far the most often abused, the fact that boys also can be victims of dating abuse is discussed.
While most of the story takes place in Minnesota, we also filmed in New York and Baltimore.
