Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned is the first of two episodic expansion packs developed for the Xbox 360, Play Station 3 and PC versions of Grand Theft Auto IV, developed by Rockstar North and published by Rockstar Games.
It was first released for the Xbox 360 on 17 February 2009 It is the third expansion pack game in the Grand Theft Auto series (the first since Grand Theft Auto: London 1961, released in 1999), and the twelfth release overall.
In Grand Theft Auto IV, there are five possible girlfriends for Niko Bellic.
Two of them, Michelle and Kate, are introduced and removed through the storyline.
The game is played from a third-person perspective and its world is navigated on-foot or by vehicle. The friendship feature is derided by certain commentators as a tedious and annoying aspect of TLAD, as friends will consistently call the player on offers to go on outings, and there is no clear way of avoiding the activity without sacrificing their player's friendships.Even if the player chooses not to go on any outings, friends will still call the player regardless, even if the player sets their phone into silent mode (which is intended to block incoming calls). The other three, Carmen Ortiz, Kiki Jenkins, and Alexandra Chilton, are met via online dating services. In The Ballad of Gay Tony, Luis meets the temporary girlfriends within the dancefloor of Maisonette 9.
